NuZeaBee Organic Wild Honey
740 days agoI am sure that most of you would have seen this brand of honey in our local supermarkets. In fact, I have found them in almost every supermarket chain in Singapore. Of course, this does not mean that it is good, neither does it mean that it is bad. You see, I am very suspicious of foodstuff that are available in the Singapore supermarkets. First of all, I am worried about the quality of the honey. In order to produce so much honey, the beekeepers have to ensure that production is ever increasing. So definitely corners will have to be cut. Next, honey is best eaten raw. In fact, there is no other way to consume honey. But the truth is, most honey are not raw. They have been heat treated during the processing and quality of the honey will be compromised. If you don’t see any information on the label on the bottle that states that it is raw, then most likely, it isn’t raw. Since it is not regulated, any honey manufacturer can claim that their honey is raw but we know that unheated honey is difficult, tedious and slow to process. So make sure that you buy honey from reputable manufacturers who guarantees their products.
Anyway, I bought this because it looks pretty interesting. It looks like creamed honey but no where on the label does it state that the honey have been creamed. So I often wonder whether it is actually either untreated or lightly treated honey. If so, then it could be worth a look. And compared to those real raw honey, it is pretty cheap. Some raw honey can cost up to S$40 per 450g! Pretty expensive huh? The NuZeaBee Organic Wild Honey cost about S$12 per 500g bottle. And this is from New Zealand, famous for it’s lush and clean environment. Well, hopefully, it can provide some health benefits to poor little old me.

Take a look – creamy right? Does not look like regular honey we see in the stores.

NuZeaBee – Wild Organic Honey. 500g of delicious honey.

Okay, the wilderness of New Zealand spans large areas of countryside and native forests. In the environment there is no spraying of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. It is all natural. The bees buzz freely to collect nectar from the flowering plants and make honey from the nectar. This honey is the Wild Organic Honey, simply pure and organic. NuZeaBee Wild Organic Honey is natural with no added water, sweetener or preservative. Creamy honey like NuZeaBee Wild Organic Honey is best stored in a cool environment.
From what I know, it does not crystallized like other honey. And for those who like to eat directly from the bottle, it is pretty good. Makes it easy to scoop as well. Do note that although is creamy, it is not thick like the Really Raw Honey which I bought a few months ago. I actually prefer Really Raw Honey but hey, how many can afford to spend S$40 of honey per month? And very importantly, this honey do not taste sickly sweet. Don’t you just hate eating honey which overwhelms your taste buds? At the very least, this honey taste a little lemony with a hint of cinnamon.

No Water added! This is why it is so creamy! Could be true. Honey should not be watery. Since if honey was watery, there is no way the beehive where the bees store their honey can hold them together. It would be “leaking” out of the beehive in no time. Of course, this does not mean that you cannot whipped the honey till it becomes creamy. If you look carefully at our supermarket shelves, you can see several brands of “creamed” honey.

Check it out - creamy. Just the way I like my honey. Again, if it is naturally creamy like that, I really don’t mind. But if the honey was “creamed” by the manufacturer, then forget about it. It is just like whipped cream.

Cool, full body spa polish! You get a complimentary Honey Creme which is a luscious spa polish that exfoliates and moisturizes your skin. Lol!

Oh, 100 percent pure and naturally aerated, NuZeaBee honeys are specially processed for that signature smooth and creamy texture. And best of all, there is no added sugar, water, additives and preservatives. Oh, so it is processed to make it creamy? Sianz….
Honey can promote anti-aging by encouraging the natural renewal of skin cells. It contains antioxidants, providing a natural shield for your skin against atmospheric free radicals. It also helps your skin to retain moisture, keeping your skin hydrated, smooth and youthfully supple. And finally, it contains anti-microbal, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a natural elixir for pimples and minor wounds. Actually, you will need to ensure that the honey is no heated treated in order to enjoy all these benefits. Seriously, we all need to understand that heat destroys antioxidants and change the structure of the vitamins and minerals in the honey.

Go ahead and have a spa! See you guys next time!

Hi there!!
I’ve just came across this great article of yours… And I’m wondering, are you still consuming NuZeaBee Wild Organic Honey till this day? Does it has any health benefits that you’ve noticed since you’ve been taking it? I really hope there is (some at least), ‘cos I definitely can’t afford the $47 Really Raw Honey every month…
I stopped taking this honey for some time already. I switched to raw manuka honey and yes, it is also pretty expensive. I guess the problem in Singapore, honey is so expensive. I would suggest you to stick with the Really Raw Honey if you can afford it.
Thanks for your advise on this… Well, I guess I’ll just have to take the Really Raw Honey on alternate days to save up a little…. I hope I still get its benefits that way too since I don’t really have health problems, at least not that I’m aware of at present… Thanks again you…
Yes and good health to you!
If its pure honey, there is no need to label ‘no water added’ .. normally i dont buy honey from supermarkets cos to me, nothing can be good if it is found in supermarket and the price is cheap.
