Yes, I know – it is not healthy foodstuff. In fact, I think it can be considered rather unhealthy, seeing that this is “BBQ coated” peanuts. Not sure what kind of salt and oil is used to make this Koh-Kae Peanuts. But for those who have eaten this before, they will only tell you one thing – it is super delicious! Once is not enough! When I started eating this, I cannot stop. It is so damn delicious. Thank god peanuts themselves can be considered at the very least a healthy snack. If not, I worry for my heart and what will happen if I continue to eat the entire pack in one go. I mean you just cannot help yourself! Oh, by the way, I doubt you can find this in Singapore. My friend bought for me in Malaysia. Don’t be jealous. Lol.
Well, this Koh-Kae Peanuts do not have any trans-fat. Thank the gods for that. I really hate to see myself consuming all those trans-fat.

Unless you have travelled to Malaysia before, you won’t be able to find this brand in Singapore stores. Trust me, I have looked everywhere and they cannot be found! Seems that even Sheng Siong do not bring them into Singapore. Not sure why the manufacturer do not want to bring them into Singapore. Probably they believe that Singaporeans are all very health conscious freaks. But seriously, Singaporeans will love this snack.

Looks like a Japanese guy with glasses carrying a banner. Cute.

Ya, Bar-B-Q flavour coated! I like.

Nice, premium export quality. I am guessing they mean the peanuts are of higher quality. So does that mean that the snacks they make for their own local market is of inferior quality? Aiya, marketing people!

Okay now, the ingredients are peanuts, wheat flour, glutinous rice flour, corn flour, vegetable oil, Bar-B-Q flavour, sugar and salt. Of course, they don’t show what chemicals and/or spices they are using to make that “Bar-B-Q Flavour”, which I believe is artificial in nature.

See, no trans-fat!

Yes, product of Thailand. Looks like even in Malaysia, a lot of their stuff are still made in other countries. It seems that Malaysia too is suffering from the same problems in Singapore – high cost of manpower and production. So a lot of industries are shifting their production lines to other cheaper countries like China, Thailand and Indonesia. Well, welcome to globalization!

Yup, what we have here are those Koh-Kae Bar-B-Q Flavoured coated peanuts. They are salty pieces of flour coated peanuts actually. Not bad if you are looking for a quick and easy to eat snack. However, remember to eat everything in moderation. Consuming too much of this snack will definitely not be good for you.
