I Love KFC! Who Doesn’t?

November 1, 2008

Don’t you just love KFC? The blend of special species that makes it extremely tasty that you cannot help yourself but go back and buy some more? No? Why not? Don’t you love rock solid chicken pieces that can break your teeth when you bite into them? Every time you walk past the KFC fast food restaurant, don’t you see a huge crowd of people there. Apparently a lot of Singaporeans do love KFC. And they can’t get enough of it. If you are wondering well, it isn’t that difficult considering that Singaporeans love McDonalds too.

Well just a few days ago, I bought myself a KFC value meal because I was feeling very adventurous and it came with 2 piece chicken and some potato whip and a drink. However, one thing caught my eye about this meal. One of the pieces of chicken looked very small. In fact, it looked smaller than those chicken wing you buy from the hawker centres. If you don’t believe me, I have taken a photo for you.

Yes, the thing on the left is my nail clipper. Small nail clipper. Not those for aunties and uncles to clear off chunks of nails from their bloody huge toes, but those for regular nail clipping. That’s one of the chicken pieces KFC has given to me as part of their “value” meal. Now, that’s really value. I am pretty sure that no one will be full after eating that small piece of meat and bones. I guess that when KFC says that it is “value”, it is really “value”.  No doubt about it. Of course, it could be value to KFC instead of value to their customers. Singapore, it never changes.

Anyway, surprisingly I enjoyed the meal. Of course I was still very hungry after eating the S$6.20 meal but the chicken was quite good. Just a bit too hard and dry. If only KFC had really tender juicy chicken like what Arnold’s is serving.
