Yet Another Tutorial To Create Your Own WordPress Theme

Found another good tutorial to help you create your own wordpress theme. Basically it means that if you would work a little harder, you won’t have to steal someone’s else them and try to pass it off as your own. I must admit, previously when I was much younger, I would often use somebody else’s theme for my blog. However, being a big asshole and certified cheapskate, I would remove the footer link to the developer’s site at the bottom of the blog. Yes, I am really a big asshole. Now, I no longer do that anymore. I create my very own theme from scratch. Well, not exactly from scratch, but something very close to it. I would normally follow these types of tutorial and from there, I learn to create my own blog theme. As you can see, I have done a very poor job of it. But in my opinion, this blog still looks presentable at the very least. I am aiming for the minimalist look for Authority Sites Directory Blog and I think I have achieved it! It really looks minimalist to me. Some people say it is too bare and plain and they want more colours to brighten the site up. My opinion, too many colours make the blog look too cheerful and this is something which I don’t want to impart to my visitors. They shouldn’t be cheerful when they visit my blog!

Anyway, this tutorial seems very detailed and that is good, especially for beginners like me. And once you start to design your own theme, you will find that the coding of wordpress is pretty straightforward. This will allow you to (if you want) to design and even modify your wordpress blog yourself. I think most coders actually start from web design. If you can do php web design, you will find it easy to do php coding as well.

So go ahead and create something super beautiful for the whole world to see. Impress us with your blog’s beauty and elegance. And please don’t use too many colours on your site. I still find too many colours is just too gay and weird for me.
