Thanks for the heads up. I am guessing the main reason for this is because the Cooper’s Lager kit is very popular but they won’t want the majority of their brewers failing in their first attempt at making beer due to the yeast.

Just wanted to mention, if you haven’t already discovered, the Coopers Lager kit comes with an ale yeast. So you should have no problems in Singapore.
Coopers European Lager and Heritage Lager both do come with lager yeasts though.
