Have you guys ever wondered how the names of brands come about? I am sure a lot of them came from somewhere some how. Anyway, someone created a list of the popular brand names which I think you will find it interesting. You will know how did Intel, Sun, Yahoo!, Google, CISCO and Apple get their names from. Great for conversations at parties.

Hmmm……did you know that the founder of Lotus used to be a teacher of Transcendental Meditation? Wow, just like me. But I think he is probably not as “transcended” as me. I am the most transcended one. In fact, I can float at will! However, I can only achieve that with tons of beer or some vodka.

And ORACLE stands for One Real Asshole Called Larry Ellison. Who is Larry Ellison? Well, the co-founder of ORACLE itself! Wuhahahaha. I like. Sometimes these corporate types will surprise you, they have a sense of humour which I thought they never had. Probably when they were much younger in the beginning, they are human. But now, I guess most of them are stuck-up suits without any sense of pity, compassion or even humanity.
