Forum Signatures For Sale??

Hmm….it seems to me that people thinking of making money on the Internet has gone way way off course. You see people selling links on websites, on directories, you see people saying site-wide links, in-content links and so on. Now it comes to signature links! A forum signature is a little signature that comes at the bottom of every post a member makes. Yes, you can rent a signature link for a month for several dollars from someone who has tons and tons of posts in a forum. Just think of a veteran member with 1000 posts, and that means approximately 1000 links on a forum. How much will people be willing to pay for them if the forum is popular and well known? A pretty good business but highly unethical in my opinion. Although, I have to warn you, those links become useless immediately after the signature is changed because signatures in all the posts change. Just like site-wide links.

I am keen to find out how many members of popular forums are actually selling their signature links. I have been frequenting forums and checking out the members signatures and I realize that a lot of active members seemed to have the same links, pointing to the same address. This looks like it is quite lucrative. I have seen people advertising their “rental” fees openly in the forums like Digitalpoint for about US$200 per month. Yeeeks! And how many of these members are actually posting in forums just for the sake of posting and getting backlinks? Good for both backlinks and site advertising. Hahaha, bet you didn’t know that even a forum’s signature is for rent right? I wonder nowadays is there anything that is not for sale?

I was wondering whether these businessmen will take it one step further by buying “memberships”? Let’s say a member of a forum with 10,000 posts is no longer active, I am wondering whether the forum owner will take this opportunity to sell the “membership” (and that’s 10,000 signature links) to the highest bidder? This could work very well for popular forums.

Oh, I have a soul for rent too. Give me US$10000 per month, and it’s yours to use for that month. Just make sure you have insurance.
