Yes, if you are using PhpLinkDirectory (any version), you can head down to rakCha resources and see how you can make your directory’s detail pages look cooler with keywords and all! This mod assumes that you already have Search Engine Friendly URLs enabled and uses Apache as your webserver.

Please note that adding this mod will immediately render all your old backlinks obsolete and you may see a huge drop in SERPs and all your PageRank for your detail pages will be gone. What?? Perhaps this site doesn’t need much introduction to you webmasters. It is official website of one of the most popular forum script on the Internet – PhpBB. And I believe that it is the most widely used forum script with thousands of developers and modders. And this site has a very high PageRank – PR9. Ironically, it is also famous for selling backlinks which Google in turn decided to devalue those links. I think that Google may believe that PhpBB is already making tons of money selling their free and open source forum script to the masses, so why let PhpBB benefit from selling links. But it seems that there are people out there who still didn’t know that and are still buying links from PhpBB.

Oh by the way, PhpBB had just released the latest version of PhpBB and redesigned their website. So please go and take a look. I kind of like their new design. But I have never tried their v3 script before. My forum is based on the SMF script. Secure enough for me.

I have taken this brilliant idea from the article:

Now you have it. The ultimate secret to get listed faster than having tons of expensive links pointing to your site. And it’s so simple as well. Why didn’t I think of that. Maybe if I keep on searching for my URL (like a million times per day), I will improve in rankings and search result positions as well! And I may be setting up an SEO firm which creates an automated software to do searches for URLs to improve rankings! Wow, this is definitely a goldmine for anyone quick enough to cash on it. And you get to laugh at those dumb webmasters spending hours and hours (and spending a truckload of cash) trying to get backlinks.

I am just wondering will this work with Yahoo? The article says it will. But he didn’t say he tested it. So this could be a grey area. But one Search Engine is enough for me if I can stop laughing for just a second.

Any of you guys living in Singapore? Or planning to come to Singapore anytime soon? If so, do you know what there is to eat? Singapore is well-known for it’s food and it can be kind of confusing to search for good food here. I mean there are just too many varieties, from hawker food to bistros to restaurants and so on, from Western to Chinese to Middle Eastern cuisines. Ahhhh…….boogles the mind.

So basically what I do is to find the nearest food court and buy chicken rice. Whenever I am at work, I will most likely be eating chicken rice for lunch in that food court. The lady serving me must think that I am some kind of chicken rice freak. I bet you are wondering whether I get sick of eating the same food over and over again. Well, I guess so. But you know, habits die hard. And other food don’t seem to attract me anyway. But this is not just me, there are many others doing it as well. I have seen one old guy who goes to eat the same “Bak Kut Teh” (sort of like spiced meat) every evening at the same store. And he has been doing it for several years now! Amazing isn’t it?

Hmmm…..it looks like one of the “authority status” sites had it’s PR slashed from PR4 to PR3! It’s The Joke File. Amazing! I wonder whether does this mean that they have fewer backlinks but still has the number of search hits required to retain the authority status. And since anchor text and backlinks are important to get top search results and with the drop in PR, what does this really mean? Is Google really looking into content now? Are backlinks losing their importance already?

What are your thoughts about this? A PR3 site doesn’t have a lot of external links. I could create a PR3 site in just 2 months. This blog is a PR3 and has very few backlinks. This probably leaves us with a lot of unanswered questions. In time, I hope to understand more about this.

And before I forget, happy May Day! Let’s go to the beach.

You see, I didn’t buy links because I am too poor, so Google rewards me. Hahaha, take that you arrogant and rich link buyers! I have outsmarted you guys again. And no, I didn’t photoshop this ok? All of you, take note of this, if you want to be loved by Google, you will have to follow what they say. They don’t like people who stray from the true path and their engineers will come and rain death and destruction on your websites. And if you would like to pay for links, why not just pay to Google directly? They have this thing called “Adwords“. Paying them is good as with more money and power they will rain more death, disease and destruction to unbelievers and greedy link sellers. These people will pay for their sins. And once they cleared out these people, the Internet will be pure and full of obedient people who would use only Google Phone. Isn’t it just heavenly?
