Well, some of the pages of Auth-rity.com went into supplemental yesterday.  Just like that. All the site descriptions are unique (I wrote them myself and each has more than 500 characters) and I blocked spider access to the RSS feeds. But still they went into supplemental. Hmmm…..so it is true, links are actually more important to prevent supplemental than unique content.

So I will now try link to the internal pages and see whether the supplemental will go away. Yes, I am very disappointed.

yes, you don’t need a high pagerank to be given an “authority site” status.

I found one site with just PR 4. It’s Wall’s Industries. And from Google authority site status: here. So, don’t be fooled by marketing guys that tell you that you need a high PR to achieve that status. In fact, there are a lot of such sites with PR 5 as well. And there are a lot of high PR sites which wasn’t given the “authority site” status.
